Reasons why JEC is chosen
as a destination to study Japanese
Through active learning, you can effectively improve your conversation skills, an advantage during interviews.
Active learning is a learning method that challenges students to learn on their own, not letting them wait for someone to tell them what to do. In conventional lecture-style classes, students will likely just sit, listen, and watch for most of the time. With that in mind, Japan Engineering College provides a wide variety of learning opportunities in which students can actively acquire knowledge and skills. By participating in many off-campus programs, students gain experience similar to actual working conditions. Through these programs, we are able to develop job-ready graduates.
Examples of active learning
-
Visiting a care facility and talking with the elderly
-
Visiting an elementary school and talking with children in a cross-cultural communication program
-
Cooking national dishes at an international exchange festival
Going on to university
Thorough support provided through individual guidance
Your homeroom teacher will provide each of you with thorough guidance on the three elements below, which are required to pass the exam for the university that you want to attend.
At the time of admission, we ask you which university you want to attend. Based on this, we investigate the requirements to enter that university and the difficulty level of its entrance exam. Then we systematically guide you to ensure that you can attend the university of your choice.
We implement effective training measures for each of the following elements required to enter a university in Japan: (1) the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), (2) a short essay, and (3) an interview. As a result, we have achieved a 100% university admission rate.
